Updated October 2026 for the 2026–27 high season.
Plenty of bachelor crews fly into Los Cabos with two plans and one day to fit them in: a round of golf with the guys, and a night out the groom will still be talking about at the wedding. Both work on the same day if you stack them in the right order. Here's how we'd do it.
The short version
Book an early tee time at a course that feeds the group, be back at the hotel by mid-afternoon, sleep, eat, and meet your host at the entrance of El Squid Roe around 9:30 PM for Best Clubs in Cabo ($120 per person: express entry at 3 top clubs, a VIP host and open bar house drinks at every club).
Pick a course that keeps the group fed
For a group, the deciding factor usually isn't the layout. It's what the green fee covers once you're out there, so nobody is splitting a bar tab on the 14th tee. This season's numbers:
| Course | Green fee | Clubs | Food & drinks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Puerto Los Cabos | $395 morning; $295 from 1:30 PM | $65 | Included, at on-course stations |
| Solmar Golf Links | $399 morning; $370 from 11 AM; $315 from 1 PM | $79 | On-course stations; confirm what's covered |
| Oleada Golf Links | $395; no afternoon rate published | $69 | Ask when you book |
| Club Campestre San José | $260; $195 twilight | $65 | Not included |
Per person, USD, high season. Courses change these by season and by where you book, so confirm the rate when you reserve. At Puerto Los Cabos the food and drinks come from the stations out on the course; the clubhouse isn't part of it.
- Oleada is the new one everyone is asking about: Ernie Els' first design in Mexico, an 18-hole links of roughly 7,300 yards with about a mile along the Pacific, some 15 minutes from downtown Cabo San Lucas. It has been open for preview play and opens officially in November 2026.
- Club Campestre San José is the local favorite for golf first and everything else second, with views of the Sea of Cortez and a rate well under the others.
- Cabo del Sol Golf Course (the renovated former Desert Course) doesn't publish a green fee, and it covers the cart, range balls and water, not food and drinks. Ask for the rate if it's on your list. Same with Cabo San Lucas Country Club: call for the rate.
Some famous names are off the table for a visiting group. Cabo Real closed on September 28, 2026 and is going private. Quivira is for Pueblo Bonito owners and guests, and the Ocean Course at Cabo del Sol is private. Palmilla is mid-renovation with only its Arroyo nine open, so call before you build a day around it.
Why the morning tee time wins
Winter days are short in Baja. A 1:00 PM start leaves you room to finish in daylight, and from 1:30 PM on the group has to keep a good pace. The twilight rate is tempting, but for a bachelor group it eats exactly the hours you need to rest. A morning round has you off the course early, with the whole afternoon to recover.
A day that holds together
- Morning: tee off. Water between the drinks; the night is long.
- Early afternoon: back to the hotel. Pool, then an actual nap. The groups that skip this are the ones who fold at midnight.
- Evening: dinner downtown, then everyone at the entrance of El Squid Roe around 9:30 PM. Bring a physical photo ID for every guest; every pass is 18+.
- Night: your host walks the crew past the line at three top clubs, with open bar house drinks at each one.
Which pass fits the golf day
Best Clubs in Cabo is the natural match: you reserve for a $25 deposit per person and pay the $95 balance at check-in, taxes included. If the groom wants the full downtown crawl instead, the Bachelor •ette Party pass is $65 per person ($15 deposit) and comes with a personalized T-shirt for the groom, dare list printed on the back. Transportation isn't included on either, so sort your taxi before dinner.
One thing we don't do is golf. Book your tee time directly with the course, then reserve the night with us. For the rest of the trip, our Cabo bachelor party guide covers the other nights.
